Arimidex 1 mg (Anastrozole) is a non‑steroidal aromatase inhibitor used primarily in the treatment of hormone receptor–positive breast cancer in postmenopausal women. It works by blocking the aromatase enzyme, which converts androgens into estrogens, thereby lowering estrogen levels and slowing the growth of estrogen-dependent tumour cells. The standard recommended dose is 1 mg tablet once daily, taken orally, with or without food.
