Mydriacyl 1% Solution contains Tropicamide, an anticholinergic ophthalmic agent used to dilate the pupil (mydriasis) and temporarily paralyze accommodation (cycloplegia) for diagnostic eye examinations and certain ophthalmic procedures. It acts by relaxing the sphincter muscle of the iris and the ciliary body. This product is manufactured by Alcon.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include temporary blurred vision, stinging or burning in the eyes, eye redness, and sensitivity to light. Less common or serious reactions may include increased intraocular pressure, dry mouth, headache, or allergic reactions such as swelling or itching of the eyelids. Rarely, systemic anticholinergic effects such as flushing, rapid heartbeat, or confusion may occur, especially in children or elderly patients. Use with caution in patients with glaucoma.Alcon
