Lantus SoloStar 100 Units/ml Injection

Lantus SoloStar by Sanofi is a long-acting insulin used to manage blood glucose levels in adults, adolescents, and children with diabetes mellitus.

Description:
Lantus SoloStar contains Insulin Glargine, a long-acting basal insulin that provides a steady release of insulin over 24 hours. It helps maintain stable blood glucose levels throughout the day and night and can be used alone or in combination with other insulin or oral diabetes medications.

Dosage:
Administered subcutaneously once daily at the same time each day. Dosage is individualized based on patient’s blood glucose monitoring and physician guidance.

Administration:
For subcutaneous use only. Rotate injection sites within the same region to reduce risk of lipodystrophy. Do not inject intravenously or intramuscularly.

Side Effects:

• Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar)

• Injection site reactions (redness, itching, or swelling)

• Weight gain

• Rarely, allergic reactions
